Bunz' Audacious Ale

Made in the style of an American Brown Ale, this is perhaps the best beer I ever brewed. Never entered it into competition, it didn't last that long!

Alcohol: 5.8% v/v (4.5% w/w)
Grain: 9 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
4 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mash in at 133 degrees with 9 quarts of 138 degree water. Hold for 30 minutes. Add 4 quarts boiling water and raise temp to 154 degrees. Hold until conversion. Raise to 167 degrees for 5 minutes. Sparge with 4 1/2 gallons 170 degree water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.046 6 gallons
Hops: .5 oz. Chinook (12.2% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (5.9% AA, 10 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast American Ale
Log: Dry Hop with .5 oz of Cascade 5.9% in Secondary
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Keg: 6.8 psi @ 40°F
Corn Sugar: 3.13 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F
