The HRB&TS will meet on Wednesday May 1 at Ship's Cabin Restaurant, in Norfolk's Ocean View. This landmark seafood restaurant is located at 4110 E. Ocean View. Phone # is 362-4659. Ship's Cabin has a great location on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, and we have a private room for our monthly celebration of homebrew sippin' and scholarship. In case you haven't been to East Ocean View in a while, you will be amazed at the 'new' Ocean View and the interesting juxtaposition of the old 'character' and the new!
While this venerable restaurant is known for their seafood dishes they also feature beers from Hampton's St. George's Brewing. The owner said they also have some German beers left over from Oktoberfest and so we may have some good surprises. While meeting time is officially 7:30, if you show up around 7 you get first choice of the leftover beers as well as 'up-sies' on dinner! Of course, don't forget to bring plenty of your HOMEBREW!!! Or, show up even earlier and take a walk on the beach, get some sand between your toes, and marvel at the evening sun refecting on the shimmering bay.

From the Peninsula: Take 64 E. across the HRBT. Exit at 4th View. Turn left (toward the Bay), and then right onto W. Ocean View Ave. Ships Cabin is on the left about 4 miles down the road.
From Rt 44/264 W., take the Independence Blvd exit. Head west/left on Shore Drive. Ships Cabin will be on the right not far after the intersection with Little Creek Rd and the Amphibious Base.
From I-64 W, take Northampton Blvd to the Shore Dr. exit. Head west/left on Shore Drive. Ships Cabin will be on the right not far after the intersection with Little Creek Rd and the Amphibious Base.
From Norfolk take Granby St. North, head right on Ocean View Ave.
